The production of advanced materials, with significant added value, is a key driving force for successful and sustainable economic and social development of any society.
This is especially evident in developing countries, like Croatia, in which the outdated technologies prevent the existence of competitive industry that is able to invest in its own advance.
The synthesis and production of materials includes development of advanced laboratory procedures that include for example synthesis of nanostructures, application of self-assembly methods and finally performance of structural and functional probing of development nanostructures.
The synthesis of nanostructured functional materials requires adequate infrastructure and equipment, for producing materials featuring desired basic, structural, chemical and optical properties.
